My Latest Acquisition (Almost)

These gray velvet boots from Alloy.com are on back order - hopefully shipping by January 4th, 2012.

So this weekend is my catch-up weekend!   Did anyone go midnight shopping on Thanksgiving night, or Black Friday shopping at 4:00 a.m.?

I personally was out midnight shopping with my husband (he was a little unwilling, but basically a good sport).   We headed out around 11:00 and saw the huge line at Target.  No way was I standing in that line.  We also decided to skip the insanity that was the Mall of America and chose to go to Southdale instead.

I will say, while the mall was busy, the lines at Macy's and Herberger's were not outrageous.  I got some cute gray suede flat boots at Herberger's at a doorbusting price of $19.99.  Eric got a leather jacket at Macy's but he had buyer's remorse and returned it the next day.  He is not a shopper like me--haha!

But I am not really a bargain shopper either.  You won't catch me in line at Wal-Mart or Best Buy.  I just wanted to be in the mall in the middle of the night.  Kind of a dream come true.

After shopping, we got a late night snack at Perkins and then headed home.  I was out again by 7:30 a.m., while Eric slept.  I went to Von Maur at Eden Prairie center which I believe opened at a respectable 9:00 a.m., and it was not at all crazy.  I got a cute sequin-y top and a small sequin Kate Spade clutch and was on my way in no time flat.  No lines there.
